CareNet: Making a Difference

CareNet is a little-known ministry that is impacting the lives of members and non-members alike. This group of about 15 people makes home visits to the terminally ill, new members, nursing homes, and to those simply in need of TLC. They have delivered meals to those who are ill or have experienced the loss of a family member. Occasionally, they deliver gifts to visitors.

To become involved, contact Deb Straw by email at deb.straw@yahoo.com.

Praise Team

Singing every Sunday morning at the 10:30 service, the praise team leads the congregational singing vocally and instrumentally. New members are always welcome. Practice is the first Saturday of the month at 9:00 a.m.  For more information, please contact Julie Hunt at 763-263-6593 or jjhunt@sherbtel.net.

Prayer Chain

We have an e-mail prayer chain that is confidential.  Please contact Kathie at 763-263-0445 or kathiez@izoom.net.

Life Groups (Small Groups)

A Life Group is a gathering of 6-12 people meeting in homes, apartments, or at church throughout the week. In a Life Group, a primary Christian community is developed and fostered. People are nurtured, equipped, and released for God's work in the world. They also provide an opportunity for intimacy, mutual support, practical love and service, learning about the Christian faith, prayer, and sharing of what God is doing in our midst.

What matters most in life are relationships–relationships with God and with one another. Our Life Groups ensure that NO ONE STANDS ALONE!

For more information on how you can join a Life Group or find a time that suits your schedule, contact the church office at 763-263-3090 or office@lordofglorylutheran.org.

  • The Lord of Glory Men’s Group, a Life Group, was created to encourage fellowship among the men of the church through activities and volunteer functions; to help promote the practices Jesus taught us as men of God; and to promote Christian family-based activities. Activities have included: Easter Breakfast, Men’s Bible Study, hunting and fishing activities, family camping weekend and community volunteer projects.

Servant Events

Each summer, members of Lord of Glory, including SR high youth, participate in an extended servant event.
